I am looking for a firm to soda blast my 1949 Feathercraft Vagabond. I am in Wilmington DE and will travel the DE/MD/South NJ and Southwest PA area. Thanks Jim [purcells2@comcast.net / 302-563-2375]

See if there is a dustless blasting company in the area.

Thank you Outboarder315. I have a few options that I am researching. I’m trying to find a company that does this on a regular basis. There are not many in this area.

            Jim,

When you get a quote let us know! I’m thinking cost will be around $75′. Check out and see what all the Feathercraft guys do for possible alternates.

Or find a company that does graffiti removal. They will lay the boat beside their current job, and do it on the side. Will be more than 75 bucks though. I have never done a boat, but A motor costs more than that.

I found a company in Millersville, MD called Chesapeake Soda Clean Inc. I spoke to the owner and sent him photographs. He estimated it will take about 2 hrs and cost under $500. The company is located between Baltimore and Annapolis, about a two hour drive. Well work it to get it clean in one day.

There is always the trip to harbor freight and buy a blaster and soda or walnut shells and do it yourself.
