      I’m please to report that after much work my 1923 A (4215) started on the 3rd pull and ran all the fuel out of the carb pot.  Next is to put a couple quarts in the tank and run it a bit longer. I ran 16/1 non synthetic tcw3 fuel mixture.

      What is the recommended  fuel mixture for these early Johnsons?
