      Hello,
Will it be ok to use a J6C plug in a 1968 Johnson SC10S? I know it calls for a J4c. I am just checking. TIA

The J4C is a bit colder than the J6C but if the motor is getting worn out a bit and getting low on compression after all these years, the hotter J6C should be OK. It’s best to remove the new plug after running it a for a while and read it to see if it’s burning OK.

Ok, thanks Mumbles. I have a J6C on hand currently, but I will order a J4C as well. I guess there is no rush since the ice is 10 inches thick. 😎

If you plan on slow trolling for hours at a time the J6C will probably stay cleaner.
