If your looking for a Zephyr coil for your Super Elto
here are a couple. Note they are being sold separately.
Ask what "Tested" means and are the plug wire
      connections tight to the coil.

Hi Tub’s. I read about having tight plug wire connections before I did my coil conversion so I made sure to use one that was tight. However, I am unsure why its a concern. I have a second Zephyr coil that has slightly loose plug wire connections that reads over 7 ohms with the multimeter. Why are the loose connections a problem?

That means the strap that holds them down is broken which can easily break the fine wire which is soldered to it. The spark can jump the gap for a while, but that eats into the insolation shorting out adjacent wires and reducing voltage. In other words, it may be the beginning of the end for the coil. . . 😕

That’s interesting. What causes the strap to break? I assume there is no way to secure the terminals.

PS. I like your signature, Garry.

Most common cause would be the plug wire being pulled on.
Your test would indicate that the wires aren’t broken – YET.
Vibration from running will cause them to break eventually.
The motor may still run for awhile as Gary has described but
              eventually the coil will fail.
No way to re-secure the terminals.

Good to know. Thanks. Maybe I’ll open up the coil and take a look inside since its not good anyway.
