      Hi Gents,

TCPGlobal sells a variety of paints, and the have a line called "Restoration Shop" with decent range of colors available in enamels, urethanes, and lacquers. Just curious if anyone has had experience with this line of paint would like to share their thoughts? For the Merc guys out there who may have used this paint, anyone used the color in the link below (called Woodland Green) as a close match for Mercury Green?

I know there are a lot of options for paint, but just wanted to know if anyone had direct experience with this brand and line.

      Thanks,
      JP

I have use the "Restoration Shop" brand multiple times. Actually I just had a qt of it delivered yesterday. I have used it on multiple pedal car restorations but not on an outboard. I used the urethane single stage. It drys hard as a rock and has held up to the abuse that my 2 year old has given it. The paint sprays well and flattens out nice. But depending on the color I found the pigments to be heavy so mix it very well before applying.

For the price of the paint it is a very good product,

        Thanks
        James

Thanks, James….appreciate the review. The prices do seem reasonable, which is part of my reason for asking. I have been getting PPG Omni Acrylic enamel custom mixed at a paint shop near me, but they aren’t the best paint shop to deal with since my favorite guy left. Just exploring other options, as painting tends to be one of the more expensive parts of the restoration process. I’m trying to get TCP Global to send me a brochure with paint color samples, as I hate making color decisions based on what something looks like on a computer screen.
