      HI All

Recently aquired what I believe to be a 1949 OK20 Johnson,( from what I see same as an OK15 but with removable heads) wanting to know how to check this  motor’s coil? and what good readings might be ?

      Many Thanks  Chuck

I assume there is only one coil with two plug wires.Disconnect all wires from coil to plugs, points, condenser and ground.Test secondary by checking ohms between tabs where plug wires attach to coil.Should be about 8,000 ohms.Next test primary between wire to points and ground wire, should be less than 1

I think the OK coil is the same as a PO, so it should be easy to find.
