        Would you be referring to the plastic idle speed screw on the throttle gear?  1/4-20

          No, sorry for not being more descriptive.  It’s the two screws/bolts in the shift rod connector holding the upper and lower shift linkage rods together in the lower unit behind the port that allows access to unscrew one to remove the gear case.

            Oh that puppy is a 1/4 x 28.  It is easy to cross tread and it needs to be tight.  Not one of OMCs best move in MHO.
