Throttle closes Johnson 3 HP Jw 12

There must be a way to adjust the tension on the throttle.  While the motor runs the throttle lever slowly moves to the slow/stop position.  I don’t see a way to adjust the tension other than to bend the lever so it rubs against the cover.  Thanks.

wave washer installed…. ??    try bending it a bit carefully … it is used for that pur pose. see parts layout

Are you sure the flywheel magnets are not rubbing on the coils?  If so, the throttle will be dragged towards the stop position
