I am in the process of bringing back to life a Martin “60”.
I am very familiar with the mid1950’s OMC carbs, but this Tillotson will be a first for me.
The number on the top are: MD5B and the number on the bottom of the float bowl is: 07802.

Is there anything special about this carb in disassembly, cleaning, and reassembly?
What are the initial settings of the needles?

      Thanks,
      Drifter

If you haven’t found one already, you can find a carb rebuild kit at Discount Marine Parts.

I don’t think there’s anything abby normal inside those carbs.
I do believe the low speed needle is turned “in” to make it run
          more rich.

          Prepare to be boarded!

Warning! Remove the high speed needle before removing the float bowl. Failure to do so has bent many a high speed needle. You can just remove the whole brass adapter fitting and packing nut as one piece.
