Something I tried and it works. If your neutral cable is frayed at the end it can be "Frustrating" trying to put it back into the Brass Pin (302357) & Neutral lever cable clamp with the small .090 " hole in it. Take a 11/64 in. drill and countersink the small hole in the pin on 1 side just to the taper of the bit. Straighten and twist the cable back to its original shape in the right direction (clockwise) and now you can push it into the countersunk hole in the pin while turning it clockwise and then the clamp. I also applied a little Super Glue on frayed end of cable before pushing it into pin, thought this might help hold it . Worked great after spending an hour or so unsuccessfully trying to thread the needle. I don’t know if this has been done before. Gary & Frank Your thoughts ??? johng
Whatever works – I have a Dremel cutter that goes to a point like a needle valve. Very handy for de-burring small holes. I use a small chuck I got with a ΒΌ" hex driver as a handle for the Dremel cutter. I have better control turning it by hand. – OK, so I’m a tool junky. . . π
