April 11, 2020 at 1:52 am #199655Just a thought are they both built in USA maybe one is Canadian.
April 11, 2020 at 9:12 am #199659Pretty sure I’ve seen both color variations, but don’t
know the “rhyme nor reason” behind it. Maybe I’ll
gander around the motors today and see if I have both.Prepare to be boarded!
April 11, 2020 at 4:35 pm #199715john hmmm hadn’t thought of that angle,,, i’ll look , will their be a Canadian marking on them and where would it be,,,,an thanks for idea
April 11, 2020 at 6:57 pm #199727I looked around my outboard stash “here and there” today,
but did not find the motor I was thinking about that was
the off color green. I’ve given away about a dozen of
the TD’s / TN’s over the last couple of years, and that
was probably one of them.
Hopefully someone can confirm if there’s a Canadian connection, eh?Prepare to be boarded!
April 11, 2020 at 7:47 pm #199731going out to garage in few and check it out more,,,,lots of good ideas see which one wins,,,,,thanks,,
April 11, 2020 at 8:09 pm #199732If one of your motors was a Canadian made model, the serial number range will be 119368 thru 135972 for the 1952 model year and 135973 thru 153937 for the 1953 model. The motor on the right in your picture definitely looks like faded Seahose green paint but the motor on the left really doesn’t look like either Seamist or Seahorse green.
