I agree with Jerry and FD here! Kevin and I love to camp on the grounds and walk the show. You can walk it 20 times, and you still find something that you didn’t see before. If we get bored, go over to the test tank, or go through the arena. Even better, take the boat out and go for a ride, or do what these motors were built for in the first place, go fishing! After a while, come back, walk the swap meet again……repeat! I never get bored though.
This year we will be staying in Minocqua for the week with the whole family. Unfortunately we will not be able to camp like we usually do. 😥 We will still bring a boat and will be there for at least 1 day, but not nearly as much as we want. Would love to be there for the whole week.
P.S. One thing I would really like to see is some effort on making the event last until Saturday. These last few years, there were many folks pulling out on Thursday, and to me, it was disappointing. Don’t get me wrong, it is still a great show, but it makes it hard for the working folks or those with kids to go mid-week. When they arrive on Saturday, last year, of course it was raining, but the place was almost deserted. Lots of free motors on Saturday afternoon though…… Picked up our 53 Corsair Navigator 5hp. last year, and it ended up being the motor we closed our season with last year when we went fishing in December with it!
