I’ve got pictures this time. Hint the transom brace is stamped R 222. I’ve searched for one of these for a long time. Jim

An alumacraft model R missing a seat. Can you get a better picture of the distance between the transom and the back seat? They should be further apart than the typical spacing.

        Good find!

Model R is my all around favorite boat. 30 MPH with an OMC 18 HP and high speed bronze prop. Forward seat under the fordeck is missing. You can see in the picture where the rear seat was originally mounted farther forward. Somebody moved it to the rear and welded it in place. It can be fixed (very carefully) and well worth it if the rest of the hull is ok.

Thanks guys, yeah the seat is welded in I’m planning on relocating it. the front seat has a hole, the left rear corner is also welded and found one on the belly. This will never be a restored cream puff but i will make it seaworthy. See you at Constantine Friday or Saturday. I need an outboard motor therapy session! I’ll be looking for a steering deck, not much chance of that happening though. Jim
