Tool for removing flywheel on 40’S Evinrude..

It is round with flat sides.

Does anyone have one for sale or know where I can get one?  At least a picture of it would be nice, so I can try to make one.

You mean the nut holding the flywheel on?

An adjustable wench or a universal socket should get er done.

It’s the nut with the flat sides. I would like to be able to spin the motor with a drill. This motor has been in storage for quite a while and it’s a little stiff. I’m hoping to be able to spin it with some PB Blaster and get it completely free, so I can pull it by hand.

That type of socket may work.

If you are just looking to spin it over, remove the special nut and temporarily replace with a regular hex nut.
