Uploading Pictures

Is there some new secret involved in uploading pictures to a post?    Every time I try to include a picture I keep getting a message saying “Upload Errors:  File Not Uploaded”.

some file type  don’t work   if I recall  correctly …

Strange.   I’ve been uploading jpg files for years and now all of a sudden, no workee.

I just uploaded some jpg’s to my thread and it worked okay.

Well, I tried switching web browsers and finally was able to upload one on my FD-12 current projects.

There are  issues related to images on the site right now.  Hopefully they will be resolved soon.

I have seen various posts where an image from the past pops up out of the blue.  That is another issue and it happens when the filenames are the same.  someone posts a pic with the file name lowerunit.jpg……and someone posted the same filename a couple of years ago….the software seems to get confused and serves up the older version.

Possibly a temporary solution to that issue would be to re-name your file before uploading…..to some random collection of letters and numbers.  It shouldn’t be necessary of course but it might help temporarily.

Yeah, I tried re-naming files several times and that didn’t seem to work either.   I’ll just use the alternate web browser for now.

I typically use Firefox and when I encountered problems there I managed to upload a couple of pics by switching to Safari.   However, I tried to upload some more pics a day or two ago on Safari and they wouldn’t upload there either.

Please watch out the file size, the file bigger than 2.5 mb will get error. Just upload an example file 55 kb.
