      anything special to know about Viking’s   3.5hp air cooled engines

       

      stay way kind ???  good runers ??? easy parts to get ??

        Is that a Chrysler-built motor?  Only air-cooled motor worth a hoot in my book.

          seller does not say…. did viking have any non- Chrysler built ones ??

           

          what about the usual parts..easy to get ?   coils points impeller

            As far as I can tell, they all were made by Chrysler.   It might not have an impeller.  I think it has a ram tube behind the prop to force water up to cool the exhaust leg.  Don’t know offhand what it has for ignition, probably Phelon or Wico.

              I believe it was made by West Bend before Chrysler bought them (Canadian ones in Barre, ON). Very reliable. May have been a Kissel design.
