I have some experience with the 1 hp. Sea King
Midget and may be able to help you.
What are your concerns? Most commonly asked
questions about that model are about the water pump.

          Thank you Tubs,

I have an  instruction and parts list for the motor, on the cover it says…for motor numbers 469-04001 and up.  My motor says 469-02301.  Is this the right manual for my motor?  I tried to find info on the internet about this motor and decided the antique motor club might have answers.  Where would I be able to get parts for this?  I would like to get this running and if I need parts, I’m not even sure of the year.  I’m sure once I get into it, I will have more questions.

          Thanks,

          Jim

I don’t have a listing for serial numbers
            but I’m guessing you motor is a 1946 – 47.
What is the model number above the
number you posted. That will identify
the year. The magneto on the pre WW-II
motors and the post WW-II motors are different.
Otherwise the motors are the same.

Hello Jim and welcome to our club site!  You can find out some information on you 1hp seaking at this website.  https://discount-marine-parts.com/ob_sea_king.html   Find the numbers on the soft plug on the side of the engine.  Do some looking on the Seaking site.  I will post a picture of my motor.  It’s number447 corresponds to a 1939 motor.

                A slight correction 447 refers to a 1938 motor.
