There was an individual who repaired aluminum
outboard tanks, including the Waterwitch tanks,
but he got burned out. He told me- “I want to
work on my own stuff”. He was really good at it
but its not a fun job. I’m not aware of anyone
else that is doing tanks for others.
Tubs.A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

January 30, 2023 at 10:56 am #272086Assuming that one has the skill and the patience required….the sheer number of hours involved in producing a result that someone like that would be proud of…….the cost gets prohibitive. No getting around it; really.

He is an acquaintance I see a at couple of
events we both attend. When I last spoke with
him he was still not interested in doing any.
I wouldn’t fell comfortable giving you his
contact info as it puts him in the uncomfortable
position of having to turn you down.

Keep a eye out for me, O.K. Roy.

January 31, 2023 at 11:33 am #272138Roy, my suggestion would be to bring your motor to a local AOMCI chapter event and begin asking around for the help that you need. Hook up with a local chapter, make some contacts, that will be your best shot. Watch “upcoming events” page for meets. You may have to travel some, but it will be worth it in terms of fun and knowledge.
