I have a pretty nice front cover for a 1937-38 twin
that I would sell and I think I have a gas cap too
but I won’t be home till late August or into
September. PM me if you have an interest.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

I have a 1936 single and I haven’t torn into it yet. From looking at the bottom of the mag plate I think it has a Eismann coil.

I’m going to try and build one carburetor with the best pieces of both, but I think that I may still be missing a piece. There are two levers on the top of the one carburetor. At the bottom of the second lever is a slot, with a hole corresponding in the body, I suspect something goes there.

I’ve started cleaning up some pieces, that I think are best suitable for the final motor. I’m surprised how many parts are damaged on both motors. The flywheel had been hit with a hammer (or something) so many times, I had to remove a bit of material to clean it up, and I polished it. I’m trying to get the parts back to as original as possible, so I’m leaving the texture on the muffler exhaust and the original grinder marks. Also the different ignition systems as found. One is an early 1936, the other with the marette is the 1939.

My wife said that "the ugly motors in the garage are having babies"…. I’m glad that these have faceplates.

So far, these seem to be very simple motors. I haven’t tried to get one running yet.

I wonder how many you could fit across your transom!?
