      During disassembly of my current project (1955 CD-12 …5.5hp) I discovered a wave washer under the armature support plate. This washer is much more substantial than the wave washer typically found on the OMC mid 50’s 3hp motors. This washer does not show in my parts manual. Any chance this was done at the factory or is this a previous owner issue?

        Doesn’t belong there. It’s a wonder the twist-grip throttle could rotate it. Probably has the wrong threaded ring also.
