Is there a good resource to determine the weight of various motors?

Has info on Johnson/Evinrude.

What I’ve noticed regarding outboard motor weight is that for some unknown reason, they all are getting heavier as I get older!
DaveOctober 14, 2019 at 1:02 am #185267The weights are given on the specification page of the outboards service manual – Witch outboard are you looking for ? ?

October 14, 2019 at 7:10 am #185268I’m just planning ahead for future acquisitions. Physically I can’t handle much over 50 to 55 pounds. So far, as a newbie, my limited collection consists of early 50’s motors. I’d like to add some older ones but they all seem to be very heavy.
October 14, 2019 at 10:55 am #185280I often refer to “Blue Book” outboard dealer trade-in guide published by ABOS Only the later ones with the blue pages in the back show dry weight. I have one from 1961 that has motors from 1950 – 1960. Lots of other info on the blue pages, bore & stroke, piston displacement, # of cyl, plug gap, point gap, hp, prop dia. and pitch, etc
