I bought some online a few years ago and can’t remember who had them. I need two 13/16 diameter welch plugs. Help!

          Try a penny for size.

            Penny is too small.

That’s it! Thanks Bill. But something isn’t right about it. It says it’s .81 inches high! That can’t be right. It would look like a thimble. I would hope they mean .081" high.

If you look at the chart on Hubbardsprings site it shows nominal diameter in the second column. The 13/16 plug has a nominal diameter of .815. 13/16 is equal to .8125. It has to be a mistake to call it the height.

My question is, where did "welch" come from?

                    From the Welch brothers, obviously.

Haha, I wondered about that too. Nice going Mumbles coming up with that bit of obscure info! 🙂

you have the right source Doorman makes all sizes and their catalog is available on line. Hubbard spring requires a $100 order.
I have some of these 13/16 can mail them for free.
Be aware that they are steel and take a lot of pounding to flatten. They work OK but it would be better to have aluminum ones. But I dont know a source for them at reasonable price. Jim
