      I’m looking for ideas to easily attach transom brackets. I’d like to store my 50hp Merc inside during the winter but don’t enjoy hooping the bolts through the transom with silicone when putting it back on.

      I saw well nuts on Google. Do any of you have experience using them. Looks like they would seal up the holes around the bolts without using silicone.

        I havent used them but thought of doing the same as you but I have smaller motors. I was thinking of using a aluminum tube or pipe and sealing that in so my bolts for the motor could go threw them and not have to be removed. Have not done that as of yet but It may work for you?
