      Is this stand worth chasing down? It says West Bend on it and it isn’t too far away.

        I would get it. I thought you would already be on your way there getting your coffee and lotto ticket with a small detour . I like the creative repair to the transom clamp handle. 😀

          That’s a Vollrath stand. They made the legs and castings for a number of brands back in the day. Same stand can be found with Oliver, Scott Atwater, Mercury and Wizard plaques.

            I have an Oliver stand. The cast aluminum part ha sold style set screws on the back and therefore is detachable from the legs. I assumed it was to swap brands names. Vollrath, where were they located?

                Did they make the OMC stands to? The one I painted for the museum looks similar.

                Edit: After comparing the two again, they are slightly different.

                  That (West Bend) stand has the name VOLLRATH stamped on the back side. The other stand which is shaped differently only has a 6-digit number, with no name.

                    I picked up an oliver version of one of these, and have a couple dozen of the garden variety OMC ones. Vollrath is on the back of mine, and I would RUN not walk to get that West bend one. Maybe from the same company, but a HECKUVA LOT MORE of the COOL FACTOR!!!!
