Recently acquired a West Bend 8001 8hp outboard motor and I am in search of a prop for it. Also it is equipped with with a Tillotson MD111A carb that is missing the high speed needle and seat. Anyone have any ideas where to find? I also have pictures that I can email if need be. My email is drcleghorn@gmail.com. thanks In advance for any insight / help

The high speed needle valve (since it extends into the carburetor body) must be removed before the float bowl can be removed. If not, the needle will be bent, and be useless. They are hard to straighten properly. That carburetor was used on the Evinrude neutral clutch Fleetwin, but I don’t know if the needle valve is the same length. These are from a 1952 parts book. The assembly consisted of (Evinrude part numbers) – – – Good Luck . . . . . . 😀
