I got to tell ya this is a great hobby. I also collect sports memorabilia and cards but I enjoy this way more because of the hands on aspect. I have a massive collection of pre 80’s cards including some pretty impressive 50’s cards but I would trade most of these for motors. That being said I am a little curious ….okay a lot curious. I find all the different brands very desirable in my very modest collection. I currently have Vikings (3), Johnsons (4), Martins (4), Evinrudes (2), Elgin (1), Scott Atwater (2), Sea King (1), Neptunes (2), and one Firestone. I am also in the midst of a negotiation for a Merc, a Gale Buccaneer, a very old Evinrude and a very old Johnson. We are still a bit apart on price so now it is who will flinch first. Here is my challenge to you. Post the different brands you have and how many of each. My most modern motor is a 62 Evinrude basket case but the rest are complete or near complete with 4 of them being runners. I also need to apologize to the club because I have not yet joined. I vow to join and I will, but right now I am spending all my available cash on motors. The registration in American dollars is at least another motor to me. I am Canadian so it is an additional 35% on top of the already higher price…..not complaining just stating a fact as to why I haven’t joined yet. So come on club members and non members, tell us all what ya got!!!!! Pics would be great as well and I will post all of mine if anyone wants to see em.

Well punchbug welcome to the web site, and soon we hope a full welcome aboard to the club. So where are you in Canada? Have you found a local chapter nearby? At the local level is where the real fun starts. We here in SE Michigan with Windsor just across the river have many of your countrymen in our chapter, The Great Lakes Chapter. They are a important part of our group and regularly participate in our local meets.

hell ya I have been to all the local chapter sites for me. I am in Thamesville which is a little town (under 1000) in Southern Ontario. Good news I am in farm country so lots of hidden gems if ya wanna look for em. Bad news, the nearest city is 30 minutes away and I work in St Thomas which is an hour away in the opposite direction. That being said I will pick up anything From London/St. Thomas area for anyone who wants to come here to pick it up from me. Save members some gas and time. I know both of these are important for all of us. I also travel as far as Tilbury on a semi regular basis because we have some in laws there. If you are patient I will deliver to there when I go there. Not a member yet but very willing to help anyone in the hobby.

            Welcome.
My collection is big on the classic Johnsons. I really like the 1957 line.
            I lack Mercury’s, I don’t have anything against them, I just haven’t gotten
a chance at one when I had mad money to spend.
I tried making an inventory list but they kept moving around or something ❗ 😆

Here are my Johnsons. LOL No I am not accustom to saying that to other men. Not that there is anything wrong with that. The big bugger is a runner and entirely trade-able for some smaller motors
