      I believe I have a rewind in the garage that looks like the
      one on this Gale product motor.
      Anyone know the store brand of a Gale product with the blue tank?
      Note: I just re-read the ad and note that it says it was "re-painted"
      30 years ago, therefore I have no idea if the tank was originally blue. 😮

          Well Buccaner it is an easy ride up I-94 and you can stop @ Cabelas @ Rogers. Negotiate a better telephone price before you drive..3 HP or bigger.

            Chinewalker, I think you are right. It definitely is not a 3hp version, because it is a twin cylinder. It may be a 12hp Elto. The tiller handle look like an Elto as well too.

            Anyways at 50 to 80 bucks it is worth a look.

              If it were closer, and he had a half price sale, I might buy it 🙂
              I was just curious what is was so I knew what the rewind I
              have belongs to.
              Did Gale make Elto versions of outboards? The carb knob
              sure looks like a Gale product.

                      Yes, Gale / Elto / Evinrude / OMC are all intermingled, depending on year built. Here is my 3hp Gale Elto, made in Canada.

                        Thanks guys. I have several late 40’s ~ early 50’s Gale products.
                        Perhaps my loose rewind fits one of those!
