Welcome Roger!    I have no idea what you have there but it looks like a project in the works for sure.  Let us know how it goes.

        Maybe it’s a bobbie dazzler?

Looks like one of these. Likely branded under a different name as
the gear case is different. Don’t know anything about them. From
          my picture files.

Tubs,  not to side track the OP , too far, but that Guppy you have appears to have some sort of water pump foot. At first I was thinking its a water jet propulsion unit outboard, but looking closer I see a 90* pipe nipple pointing upward. Strange, looks like it’s designed as a bailer/ sump pump. What do you think?

Roger’s looks to me like a home-made using a Techumseh powerhead married to who-knows-what lower unit & midsection.

Looks pretty sharp! I like the creamy white color.

                  Prepare to be boarded!

Hi Roger. First of all, you’ve made a great job of that outboard and the colours look great!
After looking at your photos, I thought it looks very similar to an outboard I have with a Tecumseh motor on it, except that mine is a jet one.
On closer inspection of my one,I notice that the clamp bracket is identical, so it would appear that we have the same outboard except that your has a prop and gearbox’
The stickers on either side of mine show “Seamaster Jet” with a sticker across the front showing “CENTURY” 3.5hp Ram Jet, plus operating instructions.
Unfortunately the front sticker although complete, has been painted over with red paint. Also showing is “Leader Dr, New Westminster B.C. which I found is near Vancouver.
I have attached some photos below of mine. Interesting, my one has a fibreglass cowl round the tank and motor. Interesting too, is that there is some blue paint similar to what you used under the powerhead on the top of the trunk.

Maybe some of our Canadian AOMCI members may be able to come up with more info?
                    Hope this helps.

PS I have a hunch that a firm called L J Fisher (or something similar) imported them into NZ back in the 1960s.

Turn your rowboat into a submarine ?????
Its a cast part so its not likely home made.
That would seem to indicate its factory.
Something that the jet drive came with or you
could order to use the motor as a pump.
Also maybe you could order this motor as
a jet drive or with the prop drive as Roger has.
Most often just the power head was used
for a pump but here is an example (more
picture files) of a pump that could be adapted
to an outboard motor. Somewhere I have an ad
for this pump. The motor / pump is pictured
on a boat with a hose attached and says it can
be use to wash your boat, water garden, some
other stuff I cant remember. Seem that the
Guppy, with this adapter, could to be used
                        the same way.
