      I’m cleaning my 1922 model A Evinrude and came across this thin steel disc just loose on the crankcase.

        Maybe because of some wear that "washer" keeps crank case bolt heads from dragging on tiller handle parts.

          I guess that makes sense. And I meant to say under the crankcase and on the swivel. If anyone would post a diagram/parts list I would really appreciate it. Slim
