What is this on a Mark 5?

There is a Mark 5 advertised at https://eastnc.craigslist.org/bpo/5634098785.html.

There is something that looks like a sheathed cable, or a fuel line, coming out of the left side of the lower cowling.

Anyone know what it is? I’m mostly curious, having once had a KE7 with an aftermarket twist-grip throttle.
