I had a small boat in the 1960s with an old outboard motor. My folks sold the boat when I left home and I assumed they sold the motor with it. Last week, I found this in a small crawl space under some stairs covered by a tarp. I remember the name Tecumseh but nothing else.
It’s a 3.6 HP made by Scott. They were also rebranded and sold as
Hiawatha, Firestone, etc.
Great little motors, easy to work on and get running.
The downfall is the steel gas tanks usually rust and leak, but, if
not too bad, they can be cleaned and sealed.
Late 1940’s or early 1950’s by the looks of that one.
