What’s it worth, assuming that it turns over?

I’ll know tomorrow whether I’m okay to sell it.

I could barely lift my Buccaneer 25hp and I’m not very big and have an iffy back. It could be a Gale, Atlas Royal, Goodyear Sea Bee, AMC Saber, Spiegel Brooklure or Ward Sea King.

Honestly about $100 to $200. If, it were clean and running without issues..about $300. Very common motors. Again, everything depends on condition, location and emotional value.

Yes, I almost bought one of the 25s for $25, but apparently somebody else got it. They weight about 125 pounds, so care needed in handling.

I missed a complete barn fresh 22hp Sea King for $100 and I still regret not jumping on it quicker.

                    How I would see it:

Condition unknown (found in barn….). Stuck $25 +/-.
Same but not stuck, has compression, shifts. No spark. $50-$100.
Has spark, or runs in barrel. Has tank? Hoses? Controls? Tiller arm? Electric start? Decent appearance? Prop not too bunged up? Gearcase contains lube, not much water or metal fragments? $100-200.
Test run on boat and performs. Mixture adjustment works from too rich to too lean. Maybe $300.

Price for a new 25 hp outboard? 3-4-5 thou? These old motors are a huge bargain for what they can do.

I see that side pattern on the 1956 22D14 Gale Buccaneer.
