Figures. There are three years possible for my motor/boat combo and every single year is a one-off. Blah.
Thanks guys, I’ll keep looking around.
While I’m doing that, anyone have a parts numbers for the junction box for a ’57? One of the few that they don’t have on the website

The ’56 motors had the Sea Horse outline on them like the earlier green motors. If I’m wrong I’m sure someone will correct me.

Note that the medallion plate was discontinued for 1960 when the automatic choke was introduced, so it only had a three year run.

January 14, 2017 at 10:44 am #51013The Electric starter/generators of the 1930s & ’40s were 12 volt, The first modern starters of the 1950s were 6 volt through 1956. The 12 volt system offered in 1957 had an optional generator which only put out ten amps and didn’t start generating until 1,700 RPM. The Motorola alternator offered on the deluxe V-4s could output 35 amps, and would charge at an idle. . . 😀
