      you convinced me…i’ll pass 🙂

IMHO;  having said what I posted earlier….that motor in the condition pictured should be either free or so cheap that you would not really have anything invested in it.  Scrap value so to speak.

They run well (so I have heard) and the 10HP version is probably better suited to the auto-trans than the 25HP version that I have.

Thanks for all your  inputs . I will pass  up  on this challenge … if seller calls and gives it to me  fine.

already sent $$$  double my 7.5 hp  $100 cost  for a port bracket, impeller kit , carb kit….the plugs look good 🙂

Bought KE7 and same White Merc for $50 each. KE77 was junk ,but, it had race prop, Removed flywheel from White Merc, coils, points looked like new, At a swap meet a member with experience and tools took it off my hands for $50 even before I could tell him the coils looked great. Most do not like to take on PIA projects ,but, some like them.

For me No Profit, No Loss and lessons learned,

          Louis

I do to in some ways…       my better half does not 🙂

imagine the reaction when I invested in this …    a Crosby Cruisette  with bunks, head  and wash basin inside

Sold it  few years after (no loss)   I liked it so much  I kept the name 🙂

I came across one of these that looked to be in
nice condition at a garage sale for $20.00.
Called a friend and told him about it.
Said he would take it and asked if I would pick
it up for him, which I did.
              He still talks to me.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
