The meter produces “results” based on externaly measured components (ex; Capacitors know to be .20uf produce “x” expected result)
IF one is handy and has access to a set of known “tested good & measured” items (coils points condensers etc…) the meter’s defective internal time sensitive parts can be replaced…to produce the known expected output…….. in effect recalibrating the meter itself. Kind of reverse engineering
All the time assuming parts are available of course.
kind of fixing up an oldy….
Anybody asked Stevens Manuf. if they have an archives dept. for old wiring diagrams ???
