I’d say USPS got the best of it!

Ha Ha, yeah, if it came to Canada.   Free shipping to Pt. Roberts or other US destinations.

Do you ever feel like we are getting shafted on shipping by living here?

I would say it MIGHT be worth the price if it had been recently been gone through by a qualified technician who set about to replace all the old caps and other “time-sensitive” components….and then proceeded to calibrate the entire unit and verify that all readings were “in spec”.

Without that much needed service….those Stevens units are not worth much.  Stevens no longer works on them….so unless you are an electronic tech….they are nor going to be accurate and reliable.

The meter produces  “results” based on  externaly measured components (ex; Capacitors  know to be .20uf  produce  “x”   expected result)

IF one is handy  and has access to  a set of known  “tested good & measured” items (coils points condensers etc…)   the meter’s  defective internal time sensitive parts can be replaced…to produce the  known expected output…….. in effect recalibrating the meter itself.     Kind of reverse engineering

All the time  assuming parts  are available of course.

kind of fixing up an oldy….

Anybody asked Stevens Manuf.  if they have an archives dept.  for old wiring diagrams ???
