This is a carburetor on a 1981 Mercury 25HP. Marine engine claims that it is a Tillotson but Tillotson says they did not make it. Can anyone ID the manufacturer?
Walbro was another maker. Sometimes the carbs appear almost identical but could be made by either Tillotson or Walbro. There should be a cast number on it someplace that starts with W if it’s a Walbro. I am basing these statements on my knowledge of the 8, 9.9 and 15 carbs, which were more common to me. I only saw a few 25s and hated them because they idled horrible.
