      I am down to my last carbon seal
      Is this carbon seal ok to use even though it is chipped?

        I wouldn’t hesitate.  It’s the other (raised) side that does the sealing, and of course the quad ring against the I.D.

          I will install the carbon seal with the two half circle side pointed toward gear case
