Yamaha question

A friend’s son brought his motor over for me to check out. He said that it froze during duck season and they could not get it in gear. Maybe they put a good deal of force on it. It is a C25MSHQ. I took a short video of what it is doing.

Not getting a lot of feedback on the other forum. Never been in the LU of one of these. Any insight as to what has broken and what will be required to fix it? Unusual problem?

It’s a’92, it says here. This layout is for a slightly older, but I’d expect to be the same as yours. You will have to disassemble the lower unit, something is either locked up or broken…
