Well I didn’t learn anything. Never had a Johnson with the brass lowers but I know of them. Have had a half dozen with the aluminum one. There is a J model not 8 feet from me. Along with other parts the 80 year old brain is failing. Frustrating.
A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.
