      Hey Guys,

I am in the process of tearing down a Zephyr parts motor. It has a bunch of broken parts and the motor was stuck.

How do I remove the wrist pin from the connecting rod?

Also, at the big end, the bolts connecting the rod to the cap have a slotted head. However, it looks like after installation metal was pressed in to the slots, presumably to keep them from loosening. How do I go about un-pressing this metal? Is it just heat and a screwdriver?

I would like to save as many parts as possible in case I need them for my two other Zephyrs.

      As always, thanks!

      Regards,
      Kevin

Just turn the screw. It will shear off the upset metal. Put the screws in different holes when re-assembling so you have new metal to stake.
