Since you guys are good at thinking out of the box—- I was wondering if anyone has thought of some kind of alternative other then purchasing a $40 dollar boot off of Evil Bay
What’s the OD of the solenoid?
Peter at nymarine has them.

any chance a piece of large diameter heat shrink tubing could be adapted over the solenoid……. and over a smaller insert for the shaft.
#303792 looks pretty good ! but with shipping and all …… cost may be back up to 40$ 🙁
Joining AOMCI has priviledges 🙂
How about an oiled, leather deer skin boot, fit to size as needed, and wired or clamped in place?
Prepare to be boarded!
How about just leaving it off? OMC eventually did.
All interesting suggestions (as always) Thank You

That’s what I was going to say. Especially in fresh water areas, leaving it off wouldn’t be a problem. A drop or two of oil would help.
Long live American manufacturing!
