    Since you guys are good at thinking out of the box—-
    I was wondering if anyone has thought of some kind of alternative other then purchasing a $40 dollar boot off of Evil Bay

    any chance a  piece of large diameter heat shrink tubing could be adapted over the  solenoid…….  and over  a smaller  insert for the shaft.

     

    #303792  looks pretty good !  but with shipping and all …… cost may be back up to 40$   🙁

    How about just leaving it off?  OMC eventually did.

    That’s what I was going to say. Especially in fresh water areas, leaving it off wouldn’t be a problem. A drop or two of oil would help.
