The motor being offered for sale is a very rare factor race engine [serial #B29]. These racing engines were built between 1927-29 as the interest in Outboard racing began. The Watermota race engines were single cylinder, high compression, 15ci ( 350cc) 3x3 bore, modified Amal carb, with a high output, adjustable ML Magneto. The Race engines were used on Bullet and British Maid hydros. The horsepower rating was 15-18 mph depending on tuning. This is a rare motor with perhaps as little as 12 built with a few as 5 still in existence.
