January 10, 2020 at 7:17 pm #191537First⦠Ede thanks very much for the offer
Second: Success !! the little 1/8″ round clips in the above picture worked fantastic. I installed 2 to sandwich the carb link into it’s matching carb part β¦.see picture
a close look shows 2 round clips on the link. What was great about it is that after removing the worn out 8$ plastic retainer there is a nice round groove in the link into which the push nuts locks solidly
being galvanized spring steel they should last a long time $0.20 cents vs an $8.00 fix⦠plus shipping $$$

January 10, 2020 at 11:02 pm #191573Looks like a great fix.Where did you buy them?
January 11, 2020 at 12:10 am #191579picked them up at Reno Depot ( A.K.A. Lowes across Canada probably) for 20 cents each I am certain they are available in any ” decent” hardware store
they come in various sizes the links on MQ carbs are exactly .125 ”
btw β¦ not a beauty but my home made choke plate return spring works great with the 500 feet of .029″ piano wire I ordered π π
the OEM spring was selling for the price of 500 feet of piano wire on Amazon (free shipping to )
