I found this motor yesterday.  A 3364, which makes it a 1922.  It’s missing a plug on one of the jugs.  A friend suggests using a penny.  Any advice on this?  I checked my old penny collection and found an aching void in the 1922 slot.  Dang it.

How about using a automotive freeze plug?

Thanks Jeff, I’m sure that would work but I think the penny idea is cool.  I want to try it.

Not too many issues back there was an article in
the Outboarder about a fellow finding a penny in
the cylinder of an early Johnson.

A "Boathouse Repair" is one thats done without having tools or the skills to do it properly.

Little farther back than I thought.

Thanks for finding that article, Tubs.  As Stanley mentions, they could have at least given Abe a heads up!

My A25 has pennies. I remember Dad’s story about how they got in there when he gave it to me. And to make coins even more useful, my old Triumph has a nickle for a plug and two pennys for thrust washers. A roadside fix.
