I wish all gas tanks were made like those. Great Job!
Prepare to be boarded!

The tank is still going to need some filler but it wont take much. As its a painted tank I don’t want to spend the time it would take to get everything out. When I put the motor together. I was missing one part. It had to be where I dumped my cleaning bucket in January. Been waiting for the snow to melt.

Thanks Bob. Its coming out better than I expected it would when I got it. Unlike your Johnson FD-12 and 3hp Sea King, I will be taking some liberty with some of the other finishes. The muffler is to pitted to nickel plate. If I even had a place to get it done, I can’t imagine what that would cost. Don’t have any idea what finish was on the cylinders so I’ll be painting them a color I think makes a motor pop a little more.
David, most of the time I sent on this motor was cleaning off 60+ years of grunge and repairing everything I could find so I can run it. A fancy bowl aren’t worth nothing if your steamers don’t open. I was a fan of the gong show.
Buck were suppose to have a 70 degree day next Tuesday, but that a long way out, and old people stuff (appointments) keep screwing up my days.
