      I have a 1940 HD-15 with the same mag.

        Good advice Jeff but everything was cleaned well before using the epoxy and all of the wiring was replaced. In the previous photo of the mag plate as found, you can see where one plug wire had insulation removed to join the coil and brush holder on one side while on the other side they cold soldered on a piece of 12-14 G wire. I replaced that with some 18 G tinned wire I had laying around. Even the brush holder tubes got cleaned out really good. The coil tests good and the magnets are strong so along with a pair of Vishay caps in the can, hopefully this mag will put out lightning bolts when it’s back together.
