      Bill,
I tested the capacitors. The bigger one must be factory with the long lead. On the bottom of it states .20 ufd & it checks out at .22 which is good. The replaced shorter lead one has .33 ufd which is .13 uf over. A little too much. They both check out very good with the Mercotronic leakage tests. I’m sending them back on Tuesday as the mail doesn’t run on Monday as it’s MLK day. I had to cut out the stamps & glue them on to your envelope. I hope it goes & doesn’t get returned, Time will tell. I still need to get over to napa to check that new cap & let everyone know as it may fit many apps, Tubs has found a good replacement cap for many I bet! Thanks Tubs!
      Best,
      Jeff

Thank You Jeff. Does anyone have a service manual for this motor as I want to make sure that I put this wiring back correctly. Is there a diagram or pictures that show me what wires go to what coils etc. I know it is critical to get the points wired to the correct coil etc.

          Bill,
I can draw you a diagram for it if needed. The coil has four leads, two to the plugs, the third small is ground & the forth goes to the cap. Take that cap wire too to the kill switch which is a 3 pole double throw. You have one each from each cap & the third goes to ground. You need to use your ohmeter to find the ground terminal is all. One wire at a time to make it easy ;>) !!
The kill switch just grounds both sets of points to stop the motor.
