      Wanted to post a picture of what the underside of the coil plate looked like with my modifications if anyone was curious. The PDF I found didn’t have a clear picture. You can see the slots I had to file in to make the modified coils fit since the connection to the spark plug lead is on the other side.

      Also, good news everyone! I got it to run yesterday! At least for a while. Now time to get into the carb.

        LOOKING FOR THE RIGHT GAP BETWEEN COIL AND MAG PLATE ? I SET IT AT .012 BUT GETING NOT SPARK AT ALL ON BOTH PLUGS.

          this is a 7 year old  QD post  you should open a new topic!!!

          see Johnson manual  on HDs

          coil shoes to mag rotor .012″ is ok  per the book

          clean the points  and adj for the usal .020 should do at TDC  checkcondenser
