      Just wondering, could you remove every other vane to make the new ones work better?

      Not sure about removing vanes, but along a similar idea,
      I wonder if it would be feasible to trim the vanes shorter so it matches
      the original OD vanes? The new replacement impellers have a larger OD,
      by maybe a 1/2″

        Reivertom,

        I have read Mercury racers removed every other vane from impellers to cut down on friction. Never heard the results though. I assume running wide open it kept the enjine cool. Anything to get the extra edge on the competion.
